The Mostlandia Misplaced Items Authority

Lost Sock? Lost Love?

For Reed Arts Week, the M.O.S.T. established the Misplaced Items Authority (M.I.A), specializing in investigating and archiving misplaced items. The Authority manifested as an office on the Reed Campus, staffed by the members of the M.O.S.T., complete with desks, filing systems, coffee, doughnuts and several healthy levels of bureaucracy. Clients who visited the Authority were asked to fill out some specialized paperwork and then were directed to an interview with one of two agents specializing in the realms of “Tangible” and “Intangible” misplacements. In addition to this, the MIA’s field agent searched the college campus high and low, and eventually will file a final report for all items. The field report, sketch, and accompanying paperwork are being processed, and will be returned to the claimant on a later date.

Important Information for MIA Claimants:

The Misplaced Items Authority prides its record of recovering items for claimants in a timely manner. However, due to current budgetary constrictions, and time constrictions within the portal, the M.I.A. is currently only able to employ one Field Agent for all cases. Many claimants would recognize our Field Agent, M. Warren Marlowe, from their field work with him. It is our unfortunate duty to inform you that he has not been heard from since your date of April 4th, 2005, when he ventured into the Staticsphere while working on Case #30393. As he has not been heard from since, this has created a backlog of unclosed cases, which might include yours. All efforts are being exhausted in locating Agent Marlowe, and in the event that he is unable to be retrieved, rest assured that the remainder of the M.I.A. staff is hard at work on resolving your case. Please do not be alarmed. We have every intention of closing your case to your utmost satisfaction.
In the interim, we request email us us should your lost item’s status cause undue hardship.

Thank you for your understanding,
The Misplaced Items Authority
